Murcielago Roadster
This model has the 6-speed manual transmission, automated shifting and clutch transmission. From a stationary position, it can attain 60 mph in 3.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 199mph.

Aventador Roadster
This has a 7-speed electronic gear transmission with an automatic mode option. It features a modern IRS single clutch gearbox which can shift in 50 milliseconds. It has 3 driving modes namely Strada, Sport and Corsa with an automatic option. In 2.9 seconds, the Aventador Roadster can attain 60 mph from stand still, and has a maximum speed of 217 mph. This model has the credit of being the first car to go faster than an airplane.

Drop Top

Murcielago Roadster
The top of the Murcielago Roadster has a canvas covering, which is water proof and air tight. Its color does not fade due to exposure. It has a decreased wind sound which limits its speed to 100 mph when it is in position.

Aventador Roadster
This model has a two piece removable top made entirely from carbon fiber. Each has a weight of 13lbs and can be stored in the front compartment of the vehicle. This is the first of its kind in the history of the company. With the top down, there is no speed restriction.

Wheels

Murcielago Roadster
The wheel of this model is 18 inches in diameter. It is made from a combined structure of sheet steel and carbon honey comb. It has a chassis rigidity of 12,000lbs. The combination of these was achieved by bonding and riveting.

Aventador Roadster
The wheel of this model is in a set of 20 and 21 inches. It is made of first carbon monocoque drop-top. It has a chassis rigidity of 24,000lbs and an aluminium chassis in the half body flex. It has been discovered that carbon fiber composites currently offers the best stiffness, weight, durability and ease of use as compared to other materials in the same class. With monocoque, the body is integrated with the chassis and the stress is transferred to the exterior of the vehicle. The carbon fiber weight of the vehicle is just 325lbs.
