Rising demand in these countries is attributed to growing disposable incomes, greater brand awareness, and an establish consumer base from improving living standards. LVMH is the largest brand holder consisting of some of the biggest names in champagne from Dom Perignon to Moet & Chandon. As the industry say a 5% slip last year, China is looked to as the second largest export for Mumm brand and Perrier Jouet. Last years decline is attributed to a low harvest seen within in the European Union region from drought conditions and rising prices for champagnes. In 2012, the UK remained the top export destination for champagne.
