A study was conducted by Millennia Banding and identified Incorporated with respect to over 50 million Facebook data points. This article summarizes the findings of the study.

Overview of Generation Y (18 – 29) years

In this group, at least 80% of the sampled population listed one school on their profile, job entries is listed by at least 36% of the sampled population with an average job tenure of just about 2 years. It was also discovered that for generation Y, the fifth most popular job title is “Owner”. 41% of millennials use Facebook every day.

Overview of Generation X, the Fortune 500

For this category, approximately 10% of those who had a job record has worked with a fortune 500 company. 7% of the sampled population still works with one of these top companies.

How Many Friends Do They Make?

It was discovered that 82% of the sampled population has at least one friend at work, 53% has more than five friends at work while 40% has more than 10 friends at work. On the average, work friends count is 16 while the average friends count is 696.
